It goes without saying that Nicolas Cage is one of Hollywood's greatest actors. However, just when it seemed like the screen legend has done everything there is to do in the industry, there are a number of projects (film franchises, to be exact) that could totally use his involvement.

Of course, apart from his action films and summer blockbusters, Cage is also notable for his performance as Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider in the Marvel Universe. The 59-year-old star is also technically a member of the DC Universe although his Superman project from the 90s never came to fruition.

To some fans, Cage would be a good fit for another billion-dollar franchise and that is Star Wars. But it turns out that he's not and will never be interested in appearing in a galaxy far, far away and his reason is equally shallow and understandable.

When asked by Yahoo Entertainment's Kevin Polowy whether or not his The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent co-star and The Mandalorian's lead actor Pedro Pascal has attempted to lure him to become part of Star Wars, Cage revealed that his allegiance belongs to Star Trek.

He explains: "No is the answer. I'm not really down. I'm a Trekkie, man, I'm on the Enterprise. That's where I roll."
