Nick Frost Expresses Wants To Play The DC Extended Universe’s Penguin

Ever since word came out that the current script for Matt Reeve's The Batman has the fancy Penguin as its main villain, fans have started throwing around names for the role. One of the most frequently mentioned names is Nick Frost, Simon Pegg's co-star in the films in The Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy.

Frost's prowess in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuz z, and World's End has fans campaigning for the English star as the DC Extended Universe's new Oswald Cobblepot, and it looks like the Tomb Raider star is happy to oblige. Taking to Twitter, Frost happily acknowledged fan's support, sending out his thanks while expressing interest in The Batman movie role.

Of course, while Frost would be a great fit for the DCEU's Oswald Cobblepot, the script for The Batman could change. Reeves still hasn't finalized the script for the film, so there's a possibility that the director could bring another villain for his DCEU movie.

However, if Reeves does decide to go with Penguin as the main villain of The Batman, then fans would finally get to see Oswald make his first big appearance since Tim Burton's Batman Returns in 1992 where Danny DeVito played the ornate crime boss. For now, let's just hold on tight and wait and see what happens.

The Batman doesn't have a release date just yet, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
