New WarnerMedia Business Merger Reportedly Can Help in Restoring the Snyderverse

The journey that Zack Snyder's Justice League went through can be a movie in its own right. It is a historical moment in cinematic history. After the Snyder Cut has been released on HBO Max, fans have started to clamor to see more of the universe that the director has in mind. This led the hashtag #RestoretheSnyderverse to gain momentum on social media. However, recent statements from Warner Brothers' executives, the release of the trailer of Joss Whedon's Justice League.

Snyder also revealed that WB has not reached out to him and doesn't know if they are even considering his vision. This left many fans downhearted due to the seemingly bleak news about the restoration of the Snyderverse. However, recent reports have announced the merger of Discovery and WarnerMedia. Although this may be a simple business decision, it may have an effect on the restoration of the Snyderverse.

According to Variety, the combined venture of the two companies will be led by Discovery CEO David Zaslav. It is not a 100% guarantee that Zaslav will support the Snyderverse but he is known as a ‘strong-willed CEO' who can easily shift strategic gears if the results are not at par to his liking. As CinemaBlend noted, if he sees the numbers of Snyder's Justice League, there might be a chance he will back up the restoration of the Snyderverse.

It is not a guarantee that Zaslav will support the Snyderverse. The changes in WarnerMedia may shake things up. Snyder revealed he is still interested in working on the universe, while fans are interested to see more of his vision. The only factor left is if the studio will greenlight and release it.
