New Star Wars: Episode IX Set Photos Take Fans To A New Jungle Set

Lucasfilm might try its best to keep the secrets of its upcoming Star Wars film, Star Wars: Episode IX under wraps, but with The Last Jedi sequel currently in production, photos and videos taken from the set still manage to make their way online.

One of the most recent batch of photos that have found their way to the internet feature a new location in a jungle set. Taken by Jason Ward, one of the writers at Star Wars fan site MakingStarWars.net took to Twitter to share a new set of photos taken from one of Episode IX's locations, the Black Park Park Location 2 jungle set.

Check it out down here:

The pictures seem to coincide with previous set photos featuring the Millennium Falcon in a dark forest, however, right now we're not quite sure where this location is supposed to be. Episode IX director J.J. Abrams could be taking fans back to the planet of Takodana (the place where we found Maz Kanata's castle in Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

Or he could be taking us to the planet of Batuu, a planet that serves as the main setting for the upcoming Disney theme park, Star Wars: Galaxy Edge.

Not only is the planet described as a location "notable for the lush trees," but it also is written as a "safe haven for those looking to avoid the attention of the First Order" – something the Resistance needs after the events of The Last Jedi.

Either way, we'll just have to wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode IX hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
