New Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Trailer Released

Sony has released the second trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and it continues to impress. The second video gives us a better understanding of Miles Morales, our first look at Peter Parker, and some gorgeous animation. It also has a dragon-like version of the Green Goblin, which adds to the intrigue.

Like the first trailer, the use of colors and the animation style is a true highlight, easily making it one of the best looking animated films in recent memory. The hard work Sony's animators put into this project was worth it since no other animated film looks like this movie.

Highlights from the trailer include an adult Peter Parker, voiced by Jake Johnson, who is trying to teach Miles how to be a better Spider-Man. Miles also has a lot of fun interactions with his dad, including the ending bit that should entertain and warm hearts. Finally, the debut of fan-favorite Spider-Gwen, who flat out introduces herself as Gwen Stacy, though that's likely just a trailer line.

Unlike most Spider-Man trailers from Sony, it doesn't spoil the plot at all. There are a few elements teased here and there but for the most part, we don't really know what's up. This can't be emphasized enough, but not knowing what will happen in trailers is a good thing.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse hits theaters on December 14.
