New Spider-Man: Far From Home Costume Based on Unused Homecoming Designs?

Fans are currently geeking out over the new costume spotted in the Spider-Man: Far From Home set. The costume has turned all of the blue streaks black and fans have noted that it doesn't appear to be based on anything from the comics, aside from Superior Spider-Man. However, some fans have pointed out that the suit is somewhat similar to some of the unused designs from Homecoming.

Artist Ryan Meidering shared some of the unused designs that were optioned for last year's Spider-Man: Homecoming. These designs are pretty sleek, though it's easy to see why they ended up using the suit we saw in theaters since it pays tribute to the original costume Peter uses in the comics, minus the web armpits.

Costumes aside, fans are interested in Far From Home because it not only continues Peter's adventures in the MCU but will presumably deal with the fallout from Avengers 4. We know that some of Iron Man's supporting cast might be making appearances but there has been no sign of Tony Stark himself, which has many fans wondering if he is going to die.

Spider-Man: Far From Home comes to theaters on July 5, 2019.
