New Rumors About Star Wars: Episode IX Suggest The Appearance Of Jabba’s Son

There might not be that much official news from Lucasfilm about Star Wars: Episode IX just yet, but it looks like there have been a lot of rumors about what might happen in the third and final installment in Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Not only do fans assume that the film might feature a Force Ghost of Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker, but a new rumor about Episode IX by Drunk Chicken TV (via We Got This Covered) suggests that Episode IX might actually have a connection to Return of the Jedi. Though it seems pretty unlikely that fans might get to see Jabba the Hut in the Star Wars movie, however, word has it that there's a scene that echoes the Jaba's palace scene in the Return of the Jedi.

Not only that, but according to these rumors, fans are going to get to see Jabba's son, Rotta, with Finn (John Boyega) and Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) meeting up with the descendant of Star Wars' famous slug on an undisclosed planet in the film.

It might sound pretty exciting to see Jabba's kin in Episode IX, but fans also have to be warned that these rumors ought to be taken with a grain of salt. Episode IX has just begun production, and we can't really be certain about what we might see in the film until we get some sort of confirmation from Lucasfilm.

So let's just wait and see.

Star Wars: Episode IX makes its big premiere on December 20, 2019.
