New Jump Force Trailer Goes Old-School With Fist of the North Star and City Hunter Characters

If you thought including Saint Seiya characters in Jump Force was old-school, that's nothing compared to the two heroes who were introduced during Paris Games Week 2018. Fresh off of his game from Sega is Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star so anyone facing him better beware because they might already be dead. The second character is even more obscure; Ryo from City Hunter, who just seems to be a cop with a lot of weapons.

Fans of classic Shonen Jump will probably appreciate seeing these characters, given how influential they are. Fist of the North Star helped bring in more fight-focused anime, for better or worse while City Hunter managed to balance wacky action with a more grounded setting. Overall, these two are fine additions to the game and it will be fun pairing up Ryo against a fighter like Goku or Naruto.

A Paris stage was also released, which is appropriate since the trailer was revealed during Paris Games Week 2018. These stages have been an interesting mix of real-life locations and famous anime areas, which makes for one of the more unique fighting games around. Here is hoping that the over-the-top anime fighting is enough to keep us fans busy.

Jump Force has now been slated for a February 15, 2019 release. The game will be coming out on PS4 and Xbox One. A season pass was also announced, which adds nine new characters to the game.
