New Jump Force Trailer Details Story Mode, Custom Avatars, and More

If you thought Jump Force was just a crossover for the money, you'd be right since Bandai Namco and Shonen Jump will be swimming in green by the time the game comes out. That being said, the developers are going to try to add a little bit of depth to the proceedings as a trailer shown in Jump Festa has revealed the game's story, along with the Created Avatar system.

According to the trailer, Jump Force is a group of the shonen heroes we know and love, who are committed to saving the world from Light Yagami and the other villains of these characters. How the real world and the Jump world merged together is still unknown but it's clear that the plot isn't too important and fan service is key.

Players will be able to make their own custom characters and give them moves based on the characters from Jump. We see some created characters use the moves of Son Goku from Dragon Ball Super and Killua from Hunter X Hunter, so there should be a lot of variety. Some might call this Xenoverse 2 with the other Shonen Jump characters and a bigger budget; they would be right but it seems to have a better battle system.

Recently, Bandai Namco announced that Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia would be joining the game, which got a pretty favorable response. The character and his series are incredibly popular right now and here is hoping All Might, Bakugo, or All For One are added soon.

Jump Force comes out on Valentine's Day 2019, which is on February 14.
