HBO has finally released the first promo images from Game of Thrones Season 8 and it looks like nobody is too pleased with the upcoming end of the series. However, a new photo from the final season offers a sweet glimpse at Daenerys Targaryen gazing lovingly at Jon Snow.
The new picture was shared by the official Game of Thrones Twitter account and it features the Mother of Dragons clearly smitten with the King in the North. Take a look at the tweet below.
If only we could all find someone who looks at us the way Dany is looking at Jon. The image probably depicts the two before they walk into Winterfell. Not surprisingly, Jon still looks very concerned. Nevertheless, it's possible that the photo was taken before the two find out that they are actually related.
In the previous season, it was revealed that Jon is the son of Daenerys' brother Rhaegar Targaryen, making him Dany's nephew. Interestingly, Bran Stark shares this shocking detail just as Jon and Dany are getting it on on the boat ride back to Winterfell. Needless to say, things could get awkward once they are told the truth.
Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington have previously addressed how their characters will react when they realize that they are blood relatives. Harington admitted that it could be a difficult situation for Jon while Clarke stated that it could also complicate things for Dany knowing that there is someone else who is also in line for the Iron Throne.
Game of Thrones Season 8 will air on HBO on April 14.
