New 'Devil May Cry 5' Demo Coming to PS4 and Xbox One Next Month

Devil May Cry 5 is shaping up to be one of the better installments of this Capcom franchise, combining the slick gameplay and fun levels of the DmC reboot with the previous continuity gamers are familiar with. It looks like a really good action game thus far, with the story itself being kind of meh, which is typical Devil May Cry since the gameplay is where it's at.

Xbox One fans were treated to an exclusive demo in December, though it is no longer available for download. Thankfully, a new demo is coming out on February 7 and this time it's coming to both PS4 and Xbox One, so everyone wins. Unless you have a PC or Nintendo Switch, though the game is still coming to the former.

No details were given about the demo, aside from the release date. We can assume that this one will continue letting us use Nero as he fights off demons with his new mechanical arm ala Bionic Commando. The Game Awards confirmed that Dante and newcomer V would also be playable in the full game though it's not clear if they will be usable in next month's demo. Fans will have three edge lords to choose from when the game launches. At least one of them can use Mega Man's buster.

Taking place after the events of Devil May Cry 4, Nero is now a part of the Devil May Cry business with new ally Nico and a mechanical arm. Whatever happened to his girlfriend or his normal arm isn't known yet but should make for some engaging stories and battles.

Devil May Cry 5 comes out on March 8.
