New Birds of Prey BTS Photos Give Us More of Black Canary

Birds of Prey (and the Fabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) could be one of the more off-beat DC movies ever made and already has Marvel beat when it comes to all-female teams in a film. The super short teaser trailer gave us quick looks at our cast and they've all captured interest from the fans, for better or worse.

Fans that have wanted more are in luck, as some BTS (behind-the-scenes, not the K-pop band) photos have shown more of Black Canary. The character has been prominent in shows like Arrow and Young Justice but this is the first time we'll be seeing her in a movie. It will be nice seeing her shine somewhere without Oliver Queen for once.

Actress Jurnee-Smollett Bell is playing Dinah Lance in this version of the movie and she seems to be wearing the same outfit seen in the teaser trailer. She's expected to be a bar singer so the attire could be seen as appropriate. This is Gotham City after all.

It's not yet known if she will have her supersonic scream and how it will be utilized in the movie. Arrow had to make do with a device that let Dinah Lance scream with added power so we could get something similar here unless they go full comic book, which is far from a bad thing.

Birds of Prey (and the Fabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) comes out on February 7, 2020.
