People simply couldn't stop talking about the latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame, which finally brings Thanos back in all his armored glory. However, it seems like the teaser may have also shown us a major spoiler about how the heroes could ultimately defeat the Mad Titan.
The Special Look trailer was truly special considering that it featured several highly anticipated reunions. We saw Nebula and Rocket Raccoon clasping hands as Pepper Potts embraced Tony Stark. In addition to that, Captain America and Iron Man were finally reunited and at one point, we saw the Big Three (Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor) approaching a weary Thanos. However, there is one interesting scene that may have confirmed the whole time travel theory. Do you remember this particular image?
That's the Mad Titan in his armor possibly being beamed down from his ship. As BGR has pointed out, the armor and the fact that he is being beamed down might confirm that the scene actually takes place in the past before he had his hands on the Tesseract. After all, he didn't need to be beamed anywhere once he controlled the Space Stone. This could mean that the heroes have traveled back to the time when Thanos was still trying to take the Power Stone and the ruins we are seeing are in Xandar.
Of course, it's still possible that the scene takes place in the present when the Infinity Gauntlet is no longer useful and Thanos now needs to be beamed down from his own ship. For now, we would recommend taking this with a grain of salt.
The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:
"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26.
