The CW has released a new spotlight trailer that celebrates the Arrowverse. It includes footage from Arrow, The Flash, Stargirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Supergirl. Not only that but the clip also cuts into a sequence that welcomes the newest Superman & Lois series to its DCTV fold.
The trailer, which you can check out above, starts off with a clip from Arrow, along with footage that shows the series' comic book source material, celebrating what started the beloved CW multiverse. After spotlighting the spinoff series that followed Arrow, the trailer cuts to Superman & Lois, showing Clark Kent's return to Smallville. Imagery from Elseworlds and Crisis on Infinite Earths was featured as well.
"What if this wasn't the life we were meant to have after Crisis?" Tyler Hoechlin's Man of Steel says in the clip. He then speaks to his sons off-screen about Elizabeth Tulloch's Lois planning a trip, though where they plan to go is yet to be revealed.
New dialogue was included in the trailer as well, seemingly uttered by Emmanuelle Chriqui's Lana Lang, saying that Clark Kent is finally back in Smallville. The trailer was accompanied by music echoing that of John Williams' Superman theme, though it's yet to be determined whether this will be the show's theme music.
Alongside Hoechlin, Tulloch, and Chriqui, Superman & Lois also stars Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Inde Navarrette, and Wolé Parks. The CW series will make its debut on January 2021.
