Marketing for Aquaman may have been quiet all year, but it looks like marketing is starting to kick in. Some more images from the movie are coming out online thanks to Entertainment Weekly, and we have our first look at the villain, Ocean Master (Patrick Wilson).

Other images seem to show us a rescue attempt by Arthur Curry inside a submarine, as well as a meeting between Mera, Aquaman, and Vulko (Willem Dafoe). Originally Vulko was supposed to appear in Justice League, but his scenes were cut. It looks like his base of operations is within a sunken ship.
There's also an image of what looks to be Mera who has been forced to go to land. Some people are even comparing her outfit to that of The Little Mermaid's Ariel when she first gets her legs and starts interacting with humans. The man in the picture with Queen Atlanna is also possibly Aquaman's father, who will be played by Temuera Morrison.
With all these pictures dropping, I can't help but feel that the rumors of a trailer being released this week are true. It's about time the movie started marketing. They don't want to end up like Solo: A Star Wars Story which marketed itself too late and ended up underperforming in the box office.
Aquaman comes out Dec. 21.
