Netflix's The Witcher Dethrones The Mandalorian as Most In-Demand Streaming Series

We all knew that Netflix's The Witcher was going to be popular, with Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and the popularity of these video games, particularly The Witcher 3, but even most of us are shocked to see this series' popularity rise so quickly, especially after the mixed reviews. The show has managed to gain a lot of traction very fats and is currently one of the most popular streaming shows out right now.

In fact, thanks to a report from Business Insider, we now know that The Witcher has overtaken The Mandalorian as the most in-demand streaming series out there, which is huge. Considering how The Mandalorian is in Disney+ and is part of the Star Wars franchise, the fact that it's been overtaken so quickly shows how much the series has caught on in a short amount of time.

Yes, most of us thought that The Witcher was going to do well but no one thought it was going to be more in-demand than The Mandalorian, which is arguably better than the Netflix series. After all, The Witcher has been criticized for some of the writing but has made up for it with some fun fight scenes and fairly interesting world-building, which is something.

So, will The Witcher be able to maintain this kind of momentum until Season 2? Probably not. People are pretty fickle these days and it wouldn't be too surprising to see some other shows usurp it. For now, though, this is a pretty cool achievement.

Netflix's The Witcher is now showing on Netflix.
