Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Won't Feature He-Man

Despite some dumb controversy over the series' art style, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power proved to be a hit with fans and critics alike. Many praised the series characterization of She-Ra and her villain Catra, whilst also enjoying the humor and action that came with it. Due to the show's success, many were hoping to eventually see He-Man introduced, with him being the character's brother after all.

Sadly, She-Ra producer Noelle Stevenson revealed in an interview with Inverse that there are currently no plans to bring He-Man to the series. Cue the angry fans.

According to the Lumberjanes creator, He-Man isn't in the table for this version of She-Ra and there seems to be no intent to bring him in anytime soon. While Stevenson admits that He-Man is an iconic character - we wouldn't have She-Ra without He-Man technically - the producer feels like she wouldn't know what to do with him should he be brought to the series.

"He-Man is not really on the table for this iteration of She-Ra at all. He's a very iconic character. It'd be a lot of fun to incorporate him into the world of She-Ra, but I don't know what my what my approach to that would be."

Fans might be disappointed by the news but they shouldn't lose hope. There is a Masters of the Universe film currently in development, which will introduce a new live-action He-Man to fans whenever it comes out. Plus, the character has had numerous shows, toys, and video games based on him so he's had plenty of time in the spotlight.

Simply put, this isn't the end for the iconic character.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is now streaming on Netflix.
