Netflix continues to drop lots of new promo materials for its upcoming One Piece adaptation. Today, Netflix released five character posters for the One Piece live-action series that highlight the Straw Hat Crew.
The character posters were shared on several official Netflix pages, including the Geeked and One Piece live-action official Twitter accounts.
Luffy and friends take center stage in the character posters, and as expected, the first five Straw Hat Crew members don their signature outfits for the visuals.
Netflix Ramps Up One Piece Live-Action Promotion With More Cast Promos
Announced way back in early 2020, the One Piece live-action series only began getting promotion earlier this year with the release of the initial teaser visuals. Soon though, Netflix began ramping up marketing for the series.
This kicked off at TUDUM 2023 where the first teaser trailer for the show was released. Shortly after this, various cast interviews were shared by other sites.
Now, Netflix continues to release new promotional materials, including cast interviews and behind-the-scenes videos. The latest is Nami actress Emily Rudd, who shared her geek journey in a new spotlight video:
Aside from Rudd, Luffy actor Iñaki Godoy also starred in another recent video. Though instead of being a simple interview, the video showed Godoy during his visit to the Shonen Jump office for a quick tour.
Other videos have also been released today by other publications, most of which are more cast interviews and a variety of content.
As the live-action series’ release is just two weeks away, we’ll likely see even more promotion for the show in the coming week.

One Piece Live-Action Highlights Straw Hat Crew in New Character Posters
To complement the range of cast interviews and featurettes, Netflix shared character posters for Zoro, Nami, Luffy, Usopp, and Sanji.
In the trailers, most of the main cast are shown in a variety of outfits. But these new posters feature the five main characters in their signature clothes which look straight out of the manga.
What’s also cool is that when you put them all together, you’ll see various pirate and navy ships in the background, including the Going Merry.
The One Piece live-action series will be released exclusively on Netflix worldwide on August 31, 2023.
Ahead of the show’s release, a series of events will happen across the globe which will include special fan activities and exclusive screenings. The event series will kick off on August 24 in LA.
