Netflix has released new teaser art for its upcoming Resident Evil live-action TV series, based on Capcom's popular Resident Evil video games. In a news release, Netflix said that the show will have "the best of Resident Evil DNA", and that it will feature badass heroines, new and familiar creatures, a battle for survival in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, and a mystery to be solved.

The new teaser art shows a vial of what looks like a blood, bubbles of blood, and a pill marked "joy" set against a yellow backdrop. However, there are no zombies featured in these images. These posters also confirm the show's official Netflix release date: July 14, 2022.

First announced in August 2020, Netflix's Resident Evil was said to take place across two timelines, one with sisters Billie Wesker and Jade, who move to New Raccoon city as teenagers, and another set years in the future, with Jade and others trying to survive in a zombie-infested Earth. Netflix shared this official synopsis for its Resident Evil show:

Year 2036 – 14 years after a deadly virus caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker fights for survival in a world overrun by the blood-thirsty infected and insane creatures. In this absolute carnage, Jade is haunted by her past in New Raccoon City, by her father’s chilling connections to the Umbrella Corporation but mostly by what happened to her sister, Billie.
