Netflix Adding First Three Seasons of Lucifer Before Season 4 Debuts

Lucifer is a comic book show that many felt didn't deserve to be canceled so many were happy when Netflix decided to pick it up for a fourth season, albeit with a lesser episode count. While those that were faithful to the Fox tv series are happy about this, those that only tune in to Netflix or other networks might not be familiar with this series. Thankfully, Netflix will soon bring the first three seasons to the streaming service in preparation for the fourth one debuting soon.

When a fan asked Ildy Modrovich about the series' other seasons appearing on the streaming service, Modrovich revealed that Netflix would be bringing them to the service fairly soon. He didn't say when these seasons would be appearing but at least we know they are coming.

Chances are if these seasons do well and build up anticipation for Lucifer season 4, there's a good chance that we could get a fifth season and more. This is all dependent on the show doing well of course, so those that want it to do well should plan a watching party or two (maybe three?).

Based on a Sandman spinoff that was marvelously written by Mike Carey, the comic book was a bit darker than the television series, though it did have a few creepy moments. Now that it is a Netflix property, the show could go to places that it couldn't under Fox.

Lucifer season 4 does not have a release date, as of this writing.
