Neil Gaiman Shares First Look At American Gods Season 3

It's time to head on to Lakeside as American Gods Season 3 has started production. Interestingly, our first glimpse at the third season comes from author Neil Gaiman and it reveals that Shadow Moon will be sporting a completely new look as Mike Ainsel.

Gaiman shared the new photo on his official Twitter account and it features Ricky Whittle with Ian McShane. Take a look at the image below.

"Lakeside is coming! American Gods is moving into winter in Season 3. @MrRickyWhittle looks thoughtful, and Mr Wednesday looks dangerous," Gaiman wrote. He also tagged @americangodsus and @AmGodsIntl in the post.

It's an interesting look for Shadow, who will be taking a different identity when he stays in the community of Lakeside. We're a little iffy on Shadow growing some questionable hair but if he needs to hide from the New Gods, that should do the trick.

Book readers are undoubtedly excited about the third season considering that Shadow's stay in Lakeside is one of the more poignant parts of Gaiman's novel. Without giving too much away (like it matters since the show will probably take a refreshing new direction with the season), the third season is bound to show us a different side of the gods.

Interestingly, American Gods Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. However, there is a possibility that the series will return on Starz in the first quarter of 2020.
