Thanks to Lucasfilm's decision to expand the Star Wars franchise via Disney+, prequel trilogy actors are now enjoying a galactic renaissance. The likes of Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, and Temuera Morrison were given another go at playing their now-legendary roles in the beloved science fiction franchise, and more than the nostalgia, it has proven to be a wise strategy for the production company.

Now, another prequel darling is reliving her days as the Queen of Naboo. Natalie Portman, who played Anakin Skywalker's love interest Padme Amidala in all three prequel films — The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith revisited her most iconic roles during an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

In a hilarious skit, host James Corden joined the Academy Award-winning star to reenact some of her most well-known roles, from Nina Sayers to Jane Foster but I think we can all agree her lengthy stint as Padme will always be iconic. Check it out the hysterical sketch here:

As for a "proper" return to a galaxy far, far away, it's definitely possible for Portman to make her Star Wars comeback in the not-so-distant future much like her prequel contemporaries McGregor, Christensen, and Morrison.

I mean, if Lucasfilm felt the need to bridge the gap between the prequel and original trilogies through Obi-Wan Kenobi, a series revolving around Padme's own conquests shouldn't be that hard to greenlight.

Heck, fans (myself included) would even be fine with just flashback scenes featuring her. Fingers crossed it actually happens down the line.

All of Natalie Portman's Star Wars films are available to stream on Disney+.
