Natalie Portman Denies Star Wars: Episode IX Cameo Rumors


Sure there might be very little official information about Star Wars: Episode IX, but there certainly has been a lot of rumors about the third and final sequel trilogy installment running around the internet these past few months. One of these theories claims that Natalie Portman's Padme Amidala is set to make an appearance in the film – a rumor which the actress now denies.

Portman recently spoke in an interview with BuzzFeed, and during her discussion with the publication, the actress was confronted with the question of whether she'd be reprising her role as Senator Amidala in Episode IX. The former Star Wars star was surprised, saying that she knew nothing about Amidala's appearance and that if the rumors were true then she would have at least heard about her character being brought into the new Star Wars movie.

It looks like that's the end for those Amidala rumors. The Star Wars fanbase has been itching for new information about what's to come in Episode IX, and with Lucasfilm keeping the film's secrets close to its chest, fans have been resorting to the theories and rumors that have been circulating online.

There have been rumors about Rey (Daisy Ridley) appearing with child, and there have been various reports of numerous Star Wars appearances by characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, and at one point, Jar Jar Binks. The internet is certainly full of wild stories, and while most of the rumors can seem exciting and fun, we advise readers to take everything with a grain of salt.
