Natalie Portman Also Wants To See A Sequel To V For Vendetta

V For Vendetta fans aren't the only ones who want to see a sequel to James McTeigue's 2005 dystopian political thriller.

Natalie Portman also wants to see another V for Vendetta movie. Sitting down with a horde of puppies for a dog-filled question and answer session with BuzzFeed, the Academy Award-winning actress was asked which of her films she'd want to make a sequel to.

The Star Wars prequel trilogy star's reply? "Maybe V for Vendetta."

Though Portman doesn't explain any further, her quick and simple answer definitely gives energy to the hope that a V for Vendetta sequel would finally make its way to the big screen. Getting a film off the ground might not be all that easy, but it definitely helps that Portman's interested in seeing a sequel, and presumably interested in reprising her role.

For those who aren't familiar with the original movie, V for Vendetta is a film adaptation of the comics written by the legendary Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Set in an alternate future where a neo-fascist and Nordic supremacist regime has managed to subjugate the UK, viewers meet the anarchist freedom fighter V and the young, working-class woman, Evey. Caught up in V's mission, Evey eventually finds herself committed to the freedom fighter's ideals.

Though the sequel could go any other way, it'd definitely be interesting to see more of Evey and see what she's become and the direction the world turned to after the death of V in the original V for Vendetta.
