Workplace romance anime is no longer new in the anime world. But when we talk about office anime with a tiny female protagonist (who is usually mistaken as a child), we come down to two titles: My Tiny Senpai and My Senpai Is Annoying. What are the other similarities between the two?

1. Futaba Igarashi and Shiori Katase Look Similar
The main concept of both romantic comedy series is quite the same: a tiny yet beautiful lady works at a corporate company. She is kind and giving to her colleagues, including the male protagonist.
However, there are still some differences between Futaba and Shiori. For instance, they have different hair colors, outfit styles, and chest sizes.
Futaba was made to look like a child, while Shiori has the same features as a grown-up woman.
2. Harumi Takeda and Takuma Shinozaki Have the Same Personality
As male leads, Harumi and Takuma look after the female protagonists. They are protective, generous, and supportive of their respective female counterparts.
But just like Futaba and Shiori, the two male protagonists have their differences too. Harumi has a buff physique, while Takuma has a slim body.
Another difference is that Harumi is the senpai of Futaba, hence the title My Senpai Is Annoying, which is from Futaba's perspective.
Meanwhile, My Tiny Senpai is from the standpoint of Takuma, making Shiori the older character.
3. Both Shows Have the Same Setting and Genre
My Tiny Senpai and My Senpai Is Annoying are both set in a workplace. The characters wear formal attire, usually seen in people working at corporate companies.
In terms of the genre, both are romantic comedies and slice-of-life, making them relatable to viewers who are already working.
The situations the two series show are the same as what workers experience in their everyday lives, except for the fact that there is a cute and tiny co-worker who brightens up their day.
4. One of the Characters Has Intense Feelings for the Other
While we cannot say if both couples end up together because both manga titles are still ongoing, we know that Futaba has feelings for Harumi. At the same time, Takuma is definitely attracted to Shiori.
Their feelings make the anime more interesting as they try to be professional in front of their colleague while failing miserably.
This adds to the romantic comedy aspect of the shows, making viewers interested to know what happens next.
