What Is My Home Hero About?
My Home Hero follows the life of Tetsuo Tosu, who is a 42-year-old salaryman. He and his wife, Kasen, love their daughter Reika to bits.
Meanwhile, their daughter is going through a rebellious phase but that doesn’t stop Tetsuo and Kasen to care for her.
In the meantime, Reika starts living on her own. One day, Tetsuo pays her a visit and is shocked to see bruises on Reika’s body.
He asks her about the injuries and she chooses not to reveal the gruesome details. Tetsuo decides to take matters into his own hands.
He starts investigating and learns about Reika’s abusive boyfriend named Nobuto Matori. In the past, Nobuto has beaten his former lover to death.
Moreover, he also has connections with the yakuza. After Tetsuo confirms that Nobuto hit Reika, he ends up murdering him.
Soon, Tetsuo is forced to do anything to protect his family and fight against the brutal criminals of the yakuza underworld.

My Home Hero Episode 1 is slated to air on April 2, 2023, in all regions, including the US, the UK, Europe, and Japan.
The seinen anime is based on the manga of the same name that's written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki.
The My Home Hero manga was first serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in May 2017.
