Is My Demon Based on a Webtoon?
Although there appears to be a webtoon of the same title written by mariru, it doesn't look like it's the same K-Drama that's coming out on Netflix. This is because the webtoon series is a romantic comedy.
Meanwhile, the K-Drama series is set to be an action, fantasy, and romance comedy. There is also no mention of the Kdrama series to be adapted from any written material of the sort.
So with this, it doesn't look like My Demon is a live-action adaptation of a webtoon series.
Who Wrote My Demon?
My Demon was actually written by Choi Ah-il. Lee Kwang-soon is credited to have helped with planning the series. If you can remember the hit Kdrama series that came out in December 2020, Mr. Queen, Ah-il is the same writer behind My Demon.
Ah-il has managed to get the public's interest because of her skillful storytelling. Armed with stunning visuals and a powerful cast, there's no wonder why many are already looking forward to My Demon Kdrama.
What is My Demon K-Drama Story About?
My Demon is a Kdrama that follows the story of a chaebol heiress whom everybody hates. Do Do-hee (played by Kim Yoo-jung) manages to meet a demon called Jung Gu-won (played by Song Kang).
Weirdly enough, the demon loses his powers to Do-hee. He decides to work with Do-hee as her bodyguard to make sure that she doesn't do anything to lose his powers forever. After all, Do-hee is threatening to laser off the tattoo where his powers come from.
As the two work together, they start to develop feelings for each other. But knowing that Gu-won is a demon, is he really there to help or harm Do-hee? Will they be able to trust each other despite all odds? Or will they betray each other in the end?
We're so looking forward to the release of My Demon. It isn't every day we come across a brave woman who threatens a demon. We'll know more once the show gets released on November 24, 2023.
