Ms. Marvel Episode 4 marks that the show is now in its later half and no, it won’t stop introducing new characters. Meet Kareem, the guy in green with a red scarf on his face who met Kamala at the train station and attacked her with his flying knives. Known as the Red Dagger, who is he and is he a friend or foe?
Ms. Marvel: Who Is Kareem, The Red Dagger?
Ms. Marvel Episode 4, Seeing Red, introduces everyone to two new pivotal characters, Waleed and Kareem, who have a cool hideout behind a restaurant and who know a lot about the Noor dimension. While they don’t usually accept guests, Kamala, being a descendant of Aisha, becomes an exception.
Kamala met with Kareem in an uncanny way. Kamala wandered off the closed off section of the Karachi Train Station where there was a mural with Ant-Man with the words “You can start small and still be larger than life.” That’s a very Scott Lang thing to say, with a pun on his powers, then suddenly, a dagger flew in but missed Kamala.
A masked guy faced Kamala and she asked him if he was following her, his reply was that he senses the Noor nearby and thinks Kamala is dangerous. During the fight, the guy asked Kamala where she got the bangle that used to belong to Aisha. This settled the score and he made sure that Kamala isn’t a Clandestine.

The masked guy brought Kamala to their hideout where she learned about the Red Dagger, the protectors from the unseen. They clarified to Kamala what a Djinn is and she learned from them that the Noor dimension exists just behind a veil that separates the Noor dimension from the dimension they are currently in.
Easily, Kamala and Kareem became friends, even sharing biryani in front of a bonfire and in the end of the episode, as they lost Waleed in battle with the Clandestines, they fought together side by side – that settles it, Kareem, the Red Dagger, is an ally.
In the comics, the Red Dagger is known as the protector of the innocent in Karachi, Pakistan. He is a local hero who is a self-taught marksman and carries his daggers on his belt. He is a known ally of Ms. Marvel throughout.
