Ms. Marvel Reportedly Resumes Casting

The spread of the novel coronavirus has certainly taken a toll on the entertainment industry. Not only has the COVID-19 pandemic forced cinemas to close down and thus delaying the release of major blockbuster movies like Black Widow, Mulan, and Wonder Woman 1984, the viral outbreak has also forced studios to shut down the production of upcoming film and television projects.

Now that the US has started to reopen, studios have slowly begun resuming work. This includes Marvel's production of Ms. Marvel.

According to a report by Murphy's Multiverse, Marvel has resumed casting for the role of Kamala Khan for its Ms. Marvel Disney+ series. Now that the US government has begun reopening, Marvel Studios has begun the process of calling in actresses to continue the auditioning process. Of course, knowing the dangers of resuming work in the wake of the pandemic, Marvel has been conducting these auditions and meet-ups through Zoom.

We're glad to see that Marvel is slowly resuming work on its projects. Sure, Marvel may not be resuming production on Ms. Marvel just yet, but it's great that the studio is greasing the wheels on the project by working on what it can in the midst of this pandemic.

Right now, there's still no word on when the studio will begin filming Ms. Marvel. However, the production set in Atlant is expected to begin sometime during the end of the year – if the pandemic finally dies down that is.

Ms. Marvel has yet to receive a release date but we'll update fans as soon as we get word.
