Mortal Kombat 11: Ronda Rousey Officially Confirmed as Sonya Blade's Voice Actress

Mortal Kombat 11 is kicking off to a hot start with the most recent event that finally showed off some gameplay. The event also confirmed that hot rumor, announcing that Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey would be voicing the iconic Sonya Blade. While the character model will not be based on the former UFC fighter, it's still really cool knowing that a tough-as-nails person will provide the voice for one of the series' biggest badasses.

Speculation has been going on for quite a while, with Ronda's invite to the event being a big clue to many. The fact that she said Earthrealm is in good hands was also another hint to her role, so the announcement was fairly satisfying. With the game borrowing the customization feature from Injustice 2, fans might be able to make Sonya look more like Ronda in the long run.

Hype for this game was already huge since Mortal Kombat is one of the biggest fighting game franchises out there. When the game was announced during the Game Awards, everyone lost their minds and the recent gameplay video continued to do that. Literally for some of the fighters. Seriously, the game is gorier than ever.

Fans will be able to pre-order the game soon, with standard, deluxe, and collector's editions available. Like most fighting games these days, DLC was confirmed so here is hoping for some really cool guest fighters. Son Goku, please?

Mortal Kombat 11 comes out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 23. Rumors claim that the Nintendo Switch version will be delayed.
