Mortal Kombat 11 Director Gets Fans Hopes Up, Shares Shaggy vs Scorpion Art

We're all waiting for NetherRealm Studios to announce a wacky guest fighter for Mortal Kombat 11, especially after Mortal Kombat X had several fun ones like Jason, The Predator, and the Xenomorph. While we did get the reveal of old-school character Kano, there are still no updated plans for a guest fighter, though they might be all DLC like Injustice 2.

However, if the meme lords and ladies have their way, Shaggy from Scooby Doo will be a DLC character for the game. Scratch that, Ultra Instinct Shaggy would be DLC if fans had their way. Interestingly enough, MK 11 director Ed Boon has not only shown interest in this happening but has shared art of it, giving fans some home.

It seems like Boon, like the rest of the Gen Z-ers, really enjoys seeing Shaggy as a badass given his cowardly nature. The art he shares of Shaggy giving Scorpion a knee to the face Kenny Omega-style has fans salivating for the Mystery Inc. member to join the game's DLC roster. Nothing has been confirmed of course so fans will have to take this with a grain of salt.

Boon does love trolling fans so there's a good chance that Shaggy won't appear at all. The MK 11 director once teased Constantine for Injustice 2 and the character never appeared in the DC fighter. Not even as DLC. At least we got the Ninja Turtles.

Mortal Kombat 11 comes out on April 23 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Switch version likely getting a different date.
