Here's What Happened Before More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers Episode 7

The episode opened with Akari greeting Jirou using his last name. He observed that she had started calling him by his last name. He was confused and wondered if she was angry with him or anything.

Later, Sadaharu caught Jirou searching for answers concerning the "last name" dilemma.

Jirou asked Sadaharu if he and his wife argue. Sadaharu revealed that they do argue and that the other day, she was irritated all day.

He told Jirou that he wished his wife would just tell him things as he was tired of playing the guessing game.

Suddenly, they overheard Mei and Manami talking with each other. Then, Jirou and Sadaharu saw Manami and Mei hugging.

Sadaharu commented about how Mei was getting super popular among girls.

Meanwhile, Jirou was still stuck with Akari calling him by his last name.

Back at home, Akari was delighted when she found out that they were ranked 8th in the class, and eventually, Jirou decided to call Akari by her first name.

And that’s when she started calling him Jirou again. He finally realized that she was doing it to make him realize that she wanted him to call her by her first name.

She wanted him to stop as she was feeling embarrassed, but since they were technically a married couple, she wanted him to call her Akari.

She reminded him that they will only be together for a little while, and it hit Jirou that things will eventually go back to the way they were before the Couple Practical course.

Elsewhere, Mei warned Shiori that if she doesn't commit to doing something, she will lose Jirou for good.

She added that people like Jirou tend to move where they are pushed, so she needs to address this urgently.

Mei told her that if she wanted to date her childhood friend, she has to do more than what Akari is doing.

Moreover, Mei scared her that it was likely Jirou and Akari had already kissed each other.

Shiori then started talking about the class results. Jirou told her that they lost a few points too because they argued a lot.

Shiori said that she also wanted to argue with him. She added that they were childhood buddies but she never saw him angry before.

She asked him if she would be able to see that side of him if she became his wife.

She told Jirou that she's already in high school but's still nervous around boys, and she wondered if she was a pain to deal with.

She noted that all the girls around her were getting mature while she was still a child. Jirou asked her if things were not getting mature with Minami.

Casually, he asked if they kissed each other yet.

Shiori, almost immediately, stopped Jirou and told him that they were not into such activities.

She noted that she might be terrible at doing any romantic activities. Jirou then assured her that someone’s first time will always be precious.

He stated that if it was him, he would be happy no matter what form it came in.

It was then that Shiori asked for a favor. She confessed that she wanted to practice kissing with him.

She freaked out and tried to apologize for suddenly jumping on him.

Jirou asked why she chose him and she replied that he was the only one she could ask to do this. Jirou agreed but told her that he might not be great at it.

They were ready to do it and noted that their hearts were racing. Jirou held Shiori and was ready to kiss her but she suddenly stopped him.

She said that they should not do it because they are not married.

At that moment, Sachi suddenly entered the nurse’s office but she did not see Jirou and Shiori.

However, she could hear the bed creaking, so she rushed out of the office. Later, she told Akari about the incident she saw.

Meanwhile, Akari found out that Shiori was in the nurse’s office after collapsing.

Akari froze after realizing that Jirou had been in the clinic with Shiori.

The scene changed to Jirou back at the apartment. He was waiting for Akari who was not yet home.

Meanwhile, Akari was alone at a coffee shop, and it hit her that she was depressed.

When she returned home, she found Jirou asleep on the sofa. She figured that he was waiting for her, and eventually, she lay down next to him.

She hugged him tight and asked the sleeping Jirou if that’s what he did in the nurse’s office.

She confessed that she would hate it if he left her behind.

The next morning, Jirou freaked out when he saw her sleeping next to him.

Akari asked if he didn’t remember what he did last night. Jirou blanked out and told her that he cannot recall anything.

It was then that Akari said they did it and asked him if it was his first time.

Jirou said that if they did it, then it was his first time. Then, Akari revealed that she was just lying to him.

Toward the end of the episode, Akari said that she hated him.
