More Set Photos and a Video of Joaquin Phoenix on the Set of Joker

Todd Phillips has just recently given us our first look at Joaquin Phoenix as ‘Arthur' in the solo Joker movie, but thanks to Just Jared, we have some set photos of Phoenix in character; we also have a set video of him antagonizing a clown via Daily Mail.

The first thing I noticed when the character was revealed was that he had the hair of Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight If you even look at his overall demeanor, you could say that he can be a precursor to Ledger's version of the character.

Then again, I think Phillips and producer Martin Scorsese are more interested in making the character their own as compared to riding off the coattails of Christopher Nolan. If anything, the look of ‘Arthur' in this film if more of an homage, and we could see him turn into the classic Clown before the credits start rolling.

DC may admittedly be trailing behind Marvel in the box office, but I have to hand it to them for being more experimental with their films. Joker will be the first movie set outside the main DCEU timeline, and will have a smaller budget with a more grounded and realistic storytelling element to it.

I can't wait.
