Mission: Impossible - Fallout Director Claims They Tried Accommodating for Justice League

Justice League continues to be the biggest black eye in the DCEU's track record. It not only underperformed in the box office but the movie was also mishandled by a ton of reshoots that essentially changed the final product if certain reports are to be believed. These reshoots also lead to the CGI removal of Henry Cavill's mustache, which has been memed to hell and back.

Warner Bros. was quick to blame Paramount Pictures for not letting Cavill shave his mustache due to his role in Mission: Impossible - Fallout.

Director Christopher McQuarrie has since spoken up on the issue. Though he doesn't give the full story, which he will reveal in the Empire Magazine Spoiler podcast, McQuarrie did say that they tried their hardest to accommodate for Justice League.

It will be interesting to hear what he has to say since most people have blamed Paramount for not letting Cavill shave. To be fair to McQuarrie, if Warner Bros. made a good movie in the first place, they wouldn't have had to do extensive reshoots that forced the cringe-worthy CGI to block Superman's mustache.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and various digital outlets. Mission: Impossible - Fallout hits theaters this month, on July 27.
