Mieruko-chan is a horror-comedy manga illustrated and written by Tomoki Izumi. The manga began serialization in 2018 under the ComicWalker website of Kadokawa Shoten. In Japan, there are currently six volumes available. The North American release of the series is under Yen Press, with the fourth volume up for release in November 2021. Mieruko-chan has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten since 2018, and it is still currently ongoing. As of writing, there are currently 38 chapters. The latest chapter was released in November 2021.

Mieruko-chan Manga: What Is It About?

Mieruko-chan follows the story of Miko Yotsuya, a high school student who suddenly gained the ability to see ghosts. These creatures can look quite gruesome, which always scares her. But since she's the only one who can see them, she has to act normal and ignore them. However, this isn't always easy when the ghosts sometimes pick up that Miko can actually see them.

With this, Miko has to put on a brave face. What makes it more complicated is that her best friend, Hana, has an aura that is so strong that it can attract ghosts — but at the same time, this leaves her untouched. Miko just has to make sure that the creatures don't notice that she can see them.
