Michael Douglas: The Quantum Realm is 'Key' to Avengers 4

Ant-Man and the Wasp may feel like an inconsequential movie to the MCU, but it did give us a better look at the Quantum Realm. As per Dr. Hank Pym himself, Michael Douglas, the Quantum Realm will actually play a huge part in Avengers 4 and future MCU films moving forward.

Talking to On Air with Ryan Seacrest (via ScreenRant), Douglas was asked whether Ant-Man and the Wasp was directly connected to A4 which he then replies, "Right. That is absolutely true. I mean, all of them - the Quantum Realm, that's the key. The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films."

We don't know what that really means down the line, but for now, it's been said that the reason that Ant-Man survives the Thanos snap is that he was located in the Quantum Realm. We know that most of the Pym family was actually turned to dust by the end of AMATW, but I have no doubt that they'll be coming back by the end of Avengers 4.

With the success of the last movie, I'm also kind of sure that Marvel is planning a third Ant-Man film.

For now, all we can do for Avengers 4 is sit and wait. The trailer for Infinity War had come out around the same time last year, so any minute we could be looking at our first teaser for Avengers 4. Heck, I'm sure some people will be happy just to get the title.

Catch Avengers 4 in theaters May 3, 2019.
