Michael B. Jordan Thinks Killmonger Might Have Had A Shot At Beating Thanos

Erik Killmonger might also be a Marvel movie villain, but according to actor Michael B. Jordan, the cousin of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's T'Challa (Chadwick B. Boseman) might actually have been a good candidate in beating Avengers: Infinity War's Mad Titan, Thanos.

Sure Killmonger might have been a tad too egoistic, but according to Jordan, his character might have had a shot at beating Thanos because he "really plans his attacks."

Speaking with the A.V. Club during Jordan's MBJAM charity event in support of Lupus LA, the actor was asked how he thought Killmonger would've done if he stayed alive long-enough to meet Thanos in Infinity War. Though the actor isn't quite sure whether or not Killmonger would really win, he's sure that Black Panther's cousin would at least have a shot.

"This is the first I'm hearing of it. I think the one thing about Killmonger is he really plans his attacks, and they're well thought out. So if he ever stepped in a situation with Thanos, he would feel confident that he had the upper hand—at the very least, he would know he had a shot. So I mean, we already know that Erik's willing to sacrifice himself for a greater good, so I don't think he's ever fearful of losing his life. So I think if he ever stepped in front of Thanos, he'd already have a plan for taking him down."

There's a saying that you should never go to battle empty handed and preparation is definitely one of Killmonger's strengths. The Marvel villain definitely spent a lot of time planning out his attack in Black Panther. If he were alive for Infinity War, we've got that strong feeling that he'd do the same before setting out to attack Thanos.
