Mental Coach Jegal Episode 2 Recap

As Cha Ga Eul tries to qualify for the short-track national theme, an accident happens as her opponents planned to oust her from the team with the help of their coach. Jegal Gil witnesses the accident himself and calls Cha Moo Tae to check on her status.

Oh Dal Sung tries to put the blame on Cha Ga Eul, but Cha Moo Tae insists that Oh Sun A cheated during the qualifying round.

Jegal Gil sees how Cha Ga Eul endures everything just to make it to the cut and warns Cha Moo Tae to save his sister from suffering further because of her yips.

Meanwhile, the mental coach's client, Oh Yeon Ji, reportedly commits suicide due to stress and malicious comments online. This causes the Korean Olympic Committee to hold an emergency meeting, deciding to hire a mental health coach to help the athletes with their mental health issues.

Jegal Gil also reunites with Dr. Park Seung Ha, the physician who took care of him when he was admitted to a mental health institution.

Cha Moo Tae urges Cha Ga Eul to seek treatment to bounce back in sports. During her consultation with Jegal Gil, he tells her to give up the race for now and aim for the next event instead. However, she ultimately refuses to do so and stops the counseling.

After her encounter with his coach, she agrees to get help from him. He takes him to his father before introducing her to the No Medal Club, a place where ex-national team athletes with permanent injuries hang-out.
