It's been a long wait but we finally have the first trailer for Men In Black International. Interestingly, the teaser may have poked fun at Chris Hemsworth's Marvel Cinematic Universe character and an iconic scene in Thor: Ragnarok.
Most of the MIB International trailer focuses on Tessa Thompson's Agent M, who somehow discovers that the Men In Black are real. It isn't until later in the teaser that Agent H (Hemsworth) is introduced but he doesn't waste time getting into the action. One of his most memorable scenes is a fight sequence with a new alien where he grabs a hammer and declares that "the tables have turned." Unfortunately, when he throws the hammer at the alien, his enemy grabs it with ease. Agent H is impressed, saying, "That was an incredible catch."
The moment isn't lost on Marvel fans who couldn't help but compare the scene to the famous sequence in Ragnarok where Thor throws his hammer at Hela, who easily catches Mjolnir. We still don't know how the MIB International scene will play out but we're hoping that the alien destroys the tiny hammer as well.
The MIB reboot also stars Liam Neeson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, Rebecca Ferguson, and the Les Twins, who briefly appeared in the trailer. Emma Thompson, who previously appeared in Men In Black 3, will reprise her role as Agent O. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray.
Men In Black International is scheduled for release on June 14, 2019.
