Donald Trump called Meghan Markle disrespectful to the late Queen again. He also admitted he was surprised that King Charles invited his son, Prince Harry, to the coronation.
Meghan Markle Disrespected Queen Elizabeth, Trump Claims
In an interview with GB News' Nigel Farage earlier this month, the former president talked about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. He also shared his thought about Markle skipping King Charles' coronation.
He said of Markle:
"I think she [Markle] has been very disrespectful to the Queen, frankly, even during that time. How can you be so disrespectful to the Queen?"
He added:
"[She] was incredible for years. For decades and decades, she never made a mistake. Think of it, with all of the people you watch [them], and you see they make lots of mistakes — if they're famous people or not famous people — But I don't know, I can never think of a mistake she made, she was never controversial."
However, he did not detail how Markle disrespected Prince Harry's grandmother. Trump also shared that he was surprised the King invited Prince Harry after all the things he said to the family in the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and his book Spare.
He said this of Prince Harry:
"I was surprised that Harry was invited to be honest. I think that it was very nice that they invited him, but I was a little surprised [because] he said some terrible things... when you see what he said... and the book ['Spare'] was just horrible."
Donald Trump Not a Fan of Meghan Markle
It wasn't the first time Trump called Prince Harry's wife disrespectful to the previous monarch, who passed away in September. In a previous interview with Farage, which also aired on GB News, Trump said he was "not a fan" of Markle.
He also believed that Prince Harry had been "used horribly" by his wife.
Trump was quoted by Daily Mail as saying in the interview:
"I think Harry's been used and been used terribly. I think it's ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen."
He added:
"I think [Meghan's] been very disrespectful to the Queen, who's such a great woman, such a great person, a historic person. I think she's very disrespectful to the royal family and most importantly, to the Queen."
