Meghan Markle Is More Intelligent Than Any Member Of Royal Family?
The Duchess of Sussex became an official member of the Firm in 2018 following her royal wedding to Prince Harry. However, less than two years after they tied the knot, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step down from their royal duties and fled from the United Kingdom.
Markle was reportedly disliked by the other royals because she was more intelligent than them. She found herself at odds with the people around her due to her wit, Daily Star reported.
In the 2020 book Meghan Misunderstood, royal expert Sean Smith said that when the Duchess of Sussex walked into a room, "she was the most intelligent person in it," and it was reportedly the reason she was being "disliked" when she was still in the palace.
"A columnist being rude about #PrinceHarry's school exams reminded me that when researching Meghan Misunderstood I was told a reason Meghan was so disliked by the Royal Family and their courtiers was that whenever she walked into a room, she was the most intelligent person in it," he doubled down on his claim in a tweet.
What Other People Say About Meghan Markle's Intellect
Tom Bower revealed in his new biography about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle titled Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsor's that the Duchess of Sussex often finds herself at odds with people "time and time again." Bower alleged that Markle was in conflict with everyone from other members of the royal family to the press teams at Vogue.
As for the reason for the dispute, Daily Star didn't directly mention it. However, it added that another source told Vanity Fair in January 2019 that Markle is "insanely smart."
"Meghan’s goal was always becoming a household name," they said. "She’s insanely smart and poised but very, very guarded."
Oprah Winfrey also claimed that Markle was "advised to be half herself" when she joined the firm. During Prince Harry and Markle's tell-all with Winfrey for a CBS special, the duchess said she was "silenced" when she was in the palace.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Need The Royal Family More
Regardless of the opinions about Meghan Markle's intellect, some sources said the truth remains — Prince Harry and his wife need the royal family more than they need the couple.
In an op-ed for Newsweek, Nicole Lampert, former showbiz editor at Daily Mail, said the royal family is thriving without Prince Harry and Markle.
"It is clear that Meghan appears to see the royal family as an extension of celebrity, while in reality, she and her husband have earned millions from Netflix and Spotify for doing nothing, simply by being extensions of the royal family," Lampert wrote.
Royal author Ian Lloyd also advised the Sussexes to stick with the royal family because, without their ties to the British monarchy, they won't be as popular as they are.
"Why is Harry a big name in America? It is because his mother was Diana and his grandmother Elizabeth II," Lloyd told Express. "If he does distance himself from the Royal Family that brand will eventually be damaged, he will be just another foreign prince."
