During their engagement interview, the couple revealed that they traveled back and forth between the United States and the United Kingdom just to be able to see each other. Royal Author Claims Meghan Markle Reprimanded Prince Harry’s Friends Over Their Rude Jokes
In royal author Tom Bower’s new book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, he claimed that Meghan Markle did not necessarily become best friends with Prince Harry’s closest pals because they did not share the same values.
In fact, there was reportedly some tension when Prince Harry invited Markle to join him and 16 of his friends for a shooting weekend.
“Harry had not anticipated Meghan’s reaction. Their jokes involving sexism, feminism, and transgender people ricocheted around the living rooms and dining rooms. Without hesitation, Meghan challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values. According to some of Harry’s friends, again and again, she reprimanded them about the slightest inappropriate nuance. Nobody was exempt. Harry’s world would not be her world,” Bower revealed (via Cheat Sheet).
Following the outing, Prince Harry’s friends reportedly thought that Markle lacked a sense of humor and that she was a dampener on the party.

Meghan Markle Acted Like A Princess During Prince Harry’s Friend’s Wedding In Jamaica
However, this wasn’t the only time where Markle clashed with her husband’s friends. In 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled to Jamaica to attend Tom Inskip’s wedding.
According to Bower, Prince Harry traveled to Jamaica on board a premium economy plane. But to everyone’s surprise, Markle arrived in her friend’s private jet.
“The close-knit group keenly anticipated meeting Meghan. They were quickly disappointed. Not only did she quibble about the food, but she behaved ‘princessy’, refusing to engage with Harry’s friends. She wasn’t interested in us, said one mother,’” Bower said (via News.co.au).
Royal Fans Speculate On The Real Reason Why Prince Harry’s Friends Dislike Meghan Markle
Prior to the release of Bower’s book, there were also reports claiming that Prince Harry’s closest friends did not warm up to Markle. However, no one came forward to publicly explain why they felt this way.
On the online forum site, Quora, one royal fan said that it’s possible for Prince Harry’s friends to have regarded Markle as fake. After all, she was a Hollywood actress who was used to playing roles.
Another royal fan claimed that Prince Harry’s friends must have had inhibitions regarding how quickly he wanted to wed Markle. And since no one knew her well enough, they must have been worried for the Duke of Sussex.
During the couple’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, Prince Harry and Markle did not also mention the latter’s alleged feud with the former’s friends.
