Meghan Markle caught the attention of the people again when her letter addressed to Congress was published on Paid Leave for All Wednesday. Prince Harry's wife raised some eyebrows because she used the Duke and Duchess of Sussex logo in the header and signed it with her peerage title, Duchess of Sussex.
Many deemed the letter political and royals are supposed to be politically neutral. So, several netizens urged the Queen to remove her title.
Meghan Markle Shock: There Is Nothing To Strip From The Duchess
Markle has gained thousands of fans and critics after she married Prince Harry. When her letter asking Congress to grant parents paid leave was published, many praised it. However, shortly after that, her critics found something in it that they didn't like.
Many wanted her to be stripped of her royal titles because she is allegedly abusing them. But is that really the case?

Constitutional expert Iain MacMarthanne weighed in on the latest predicament involving Markle. According to him, it's true that royals are expected to be politically neutral. However, there is some flexibility there too.
"The further away any royal is from succeeding to the crown the greater the latitude given," he explained.
Prince Harry is sixth in line in the royal succession. Also, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have already stepped down from their royal duties. He also addressed the calls about stripping Markle of her royal title saying it's "easier said than done."
"In the instance of the Duchess of Sussex no laws have been broken, conventions are there to be tested, but above all else, suggestions that the Duchess could be stripped of her title is to assume it was given to her," the expert explained.
The expert pointed out that many got it wrong because Markle has no styles or titles on her own.
"This is not the case. The Duchess holds her styles and titles as a courtesy, derived from her husband. In effect, there is nothing to strip from her, she is at liberty not to use these titles and could, should she prefer, be known by her pre-marital name," he added.

Meghan Markle Slammed On Twitter For Using Royal Title
Several netizens were not happy that Markle still used her royal title after stepping back from her duties even if she's entitled to it. Markle is still free to use her peerage, Duchess of Sussex, because it was the Queen who gave to Prince Harry and her on their wedding day. However, Her Majesty prohibited them from using their HRH titles after they stepped back from their royal duties.
Regardless, the netizens do not want the duchess to use any of her royal connections in whatever she does.
One critic questioned Markle using her title in the United States in making a political point. The netizen said it sounded ridiculous in America in 2021 and highly inappropriate for a British royal. The online user said she had no problem if Markle wasn't trading on her royal title.
Several others said it was highly inappropriate and completely acceptable. So, they are calling the Queen to suspend both titles Markle has.
