Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can't keep some of their staff members for long. Thus, the report about them being allegedly difficult to work with has resurfaced.
Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Losing 2 Staff Members
Two more staffers are stepping down from their position and will not be working with Prince Harry and Markle anymore, bringing the suspected total of staff members they lost to 18, Express reported.
Ben Browning, the internal content head, and Fara Taylor, who leads the marketing team, are leaving Archewell. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a press release that they were "hugely grateful" for the duo's support on their "vital look-back projects." They also said that they will be focusing on works that "look forward."
Browning and Taylor's departure under the Sussexes' wings prompted royal commentators to speculate about what could be happening behind closed doors. Kinsey Schofield, the host of the To Di For Daily podcast, described the Sussex staff as a "revolving door of employees."
She said in the recent episode of her podcast, per Express:
"Truly, I'm not exaggerating, it does feel like a revolving door of employees here in the US. I am not familiar with the charity sector, but in the creative department, they are going through producers and they are going through people that are supposed to be managing all of this content — that we've barely seen any of."
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Still Difficult To Work With?
In the said episode, Schofield was joined by journalist and author Valentine Low, who penned the 2022 book Courters. Low was also the one who broke the story about Markle allegedly bullying a royal staff in an article in The Times in March 2021. The story was published two days before the Sussexes' explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Markle denied the bullying allegation and claimed it was a "calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation," News.com.au reported.
Schofield asked Low if the recent report about the Sussexes losing two more staffers made him "feel better" about his "reporting on the allegations and it being a difficult place [to work] and these people [Harry and Meghan] being difficult to work for allegedly?"
Low replied:
"It certainly makes me wonder whether the pattern of them being difficult to work for is continuing. Absolutely. It doesn't make me feel better because I never had the slightest doubt about what I wrote."
He added that he wasn't aware of what was going on with Archewell. However, he believed it would be "fascinating to find out."
