Mega Man X Will Have New Armor in July's Legacy Collections

Gamers were more than happy when Capcom announced the Mega Man X Legacy Collection, along with this year's Mega Man 11. While there is some disappointment in the fact that these collections will be split in two, having all of the classic X games is still a great way to kill time. As if all eight games weren't enough, each Legacy Collection will have a new story via the highly anticipated X Challenge.

Not only will it offer a narrative where the various Mavericks team up to take on X and Zero but there will also be new armor for the former. It's essentially a recolored version of the ultimate armor from Mega Man X 4 but there's no denying that it looks sleek and is a really cool bonus from Capcom.

These details were revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu magazine (via Rockman Corner) and it has got hardcore Mega Man fans salivating. Players will have to choose three weapons from a choice of nine per stage, each of which will have two bosses that X has to take on simultaneously.

Bosses will depend on which Legacy Collection players get but both bundles will have the mode. It's worth noting that they only take bosses from X to X6, meaning that the only 3D games were ignored for this mode, though they will still be in the second Legacy Collection.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 will be coming out on July 24. They will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
