Meet the New Karate Kids in Teasers for Cobra Kai

Youtube Red's upcoming Cobra Kai series promises to follow the rivalry between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, but that doesn't mean that we won't be meeting a new generation of ‘karate kids'. Now we have some new TV spots highlighting all the young cast members of the show.

The ‘new Daniel' in the show looks to be this bullied kid named Miguel, who Johnny takes under his wing. Sure he may seem like a wimp at first, but I'm pretty sure that he gets to kick some major ass at some point in the show.

The other two characters look to be the kids of Daniel and Johnny. We have a preview for Daniel's daughter Sam who is said to be adept with martial arts as well. As for Johnny's son Robby, I bet he's there to be a driving force for Johnny to retake karate and re-open the Cobra Kai dojo.

Here's the official synopsis for the show:

In the highly-anticipated return of two iconic characters, the arch-rivals from the legendary Karate Kid film series reunite over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Now living in the affluent hills of Encino, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) leads an enviable life with his beautiful family, while running a successful string of car dealerships throughout the valley. Meanwhile, his high school adversary, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), whose life has taken a rocky turn, seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo. Their lives inevitably become intertwined and the rivalry is reignited, setting forth the next generation of "karate kids" in COBRA KAI, a YouTube Red Original Series.

Cobra Kai comes to Youtube Red on May 2.
