Meet Johnny Cage in New Clip from Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge

Probably one of the biggest names attached to Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge is Community's Joel McHale, and he's been cast as pompous action star Johnny Cage. What's great is, we have a clip of Cage from the film meeting the rest of Earthrealm's defenders.

Check it out:

Seeing that McHale has always played the sarcastic, humorous character, it's kind of perfect that he got cast as Cage in the movie. With all the other characters taking the story seriously, it's going to be fun watching Johnny Cage just go through the movie and point out how silly everything is.

Personally, I always thought that Mortal Kombat has humor at the very core of it. Though it's gotten more violent over the years, there is always that kind of comedy that comes from how over the top everything is—kind of like how you would enjoy a B movie. Just like I'm hoping with the live-action film, I hope that Scorpion's Revenge doesn't take itself too seriously.
