MCU Stars Simu Liu and Jonathan Majors Are Hosting Saturday Night Live This Month

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors are set to make their Saturday Night Live debut as the long-running variety sketch series announced on their social media that the MCU stars will be hosting this month.

Majors is set to host the November 13 episode with global superstar Taylor Swift as the musical guest while Liu will be hosting the November 20 episode which will have rapper Saweetie as the musical guest. They follow Succession star Kieran Culkin, who is hosting this weekend's episode that will have Ed Sheeran as musical guest.

Both actors made their MCU debut just this year. Majors was introduced in the first season finale of Loki where he played Who He Remains and is set to play Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Meanwhile, Liu is fresh off from the huge success of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings where he played the titular hero and is expected to be one of the leading heroes in the franchise moving forward.

It is exciting that they are making their Saturday Night Live debut as it would be an opportunity for them to showcase their comedic chops. Majors has starred in several dramatic works such as Da 5 Bloods, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, and the HBO series Lovecraft Country. This would be the first time that he will do purely comedic work. As for Liu, he was known for starring in the Canadian sitcom Kim's Convenience before he did Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings so it wouldn't be surprising at least to know that he has great comedic chops. Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing these two MCU stars perform in several sketches.
