What If...?'s Guardians of the Galaxy meets Black Panther episode was home to several awesome moments and the grand send-off for the late Chadwick Boseman who voices his character T'Challa in the animated series. Episode 2 revolves around the story of how a simple accident changed the lives of two beloved Marvel heroes.

The episode makes it clear right off the bat that the entire plan all along was for the Ravagers to abduct Peter Quill but in a stunning turn of events, Yondu and his crew picked up a different child and it was none other than T'Challa who would later become Star-Lord. Naturally, this led many fans to wonder what exactly happened to the real Peter Quill and while the episode didn't exactly focus on that, the closing moments pretty much confirmed that Quill is still on Earth.

Turns out, Quill lived a fairly normal life which was far different from his main timeline counterpart who led the Guardians of the Galaxy. Quill ended up becoming a server in Dairy Queen where his father Ego the Living Planet finds him. Following the episode, MCU fans found it hilarious how Yondu's mistake turned Quill's life upside down. Check out some of the reactions here:

I don't know about you but it still looks like Ego, much like his main timeline self is up to no good and he'll be using his own son to fulfill his evil plans. Now, the chances of Quill appearing in future episodes of What If...? are pretty slim but it's worth noting that the series has already been greenlit for a second season, so I'm pretty sure that's when we'll see him next. I can already smell a Star-Lord vs Star-Lord clash.

What If...? is already streaming on Disney+.
