MCU Fans Are Demanding to 'Recast Tchalla' Following Black Panther 2's First Teaser

San Diego Comic-Con was finally over, but fans still can't get enough of Marvel Studios' massive surprises for the fans, including the first glimpse at the upcoming Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Although the sequel intends to pay tribute to Marvel veteran Chadwick Boseman after his heartbreaking death in 2020, fans seemingly refuse to accept that fan-beloved T’Challa will also face demise in the upcoming film.

Now, fans are questioning Marvel Studios' decision to kill T'Challa instead of recasting another actor to continue the Black Panther legacy. The teaser also hints that T'Challa's sister Shuri would somehow carry on the Black Panther mantle.

Casting another actor or handing over the Black Panther mantle to another recurring actor like Shuri (Letitia Wright) is an understandably difficult decision for Marvel Studios considering Black Panther's stature in the franchise. However, totally killing off T'Challa in would be questionable as it's baffling how they would continue the titular character's legacy if the hero won't be roaming around in the MCU for good.

Despite Marvel Studios' decision to play it safe by not casting another actor to continue the Black Panther arc, at this point, it seems that fans no longer mind. For now, it appears that they want to see another actor restarting what the late Chadwick Boseman triumphantly started. With the multiverse in mind, they can now easily introduce another Black Panther through variants.

Nonetheless, the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer spots a new Black Panther, and according to a previous report, the sequel would heart-warmingly pay tribute to Boseman, which means that the film would acknowledge the actor’s passing that would be substantial with the whole Wakanda narrative.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will premiere in theaters on November 11.
